When I'm wrong, I'm wrong

This is something that's hard for some to admit, not me. I've publicly flogged Palin here for several things, and I must stand corrected. See CNN's article here regarding the Alaskan Governor's jet/eBay fiasco. Please read prior to continuing w/the following.

So I will publicly apologize to Mrs. Palin for the incorrect data. I am truly sorry.

Now I will publicly flog John McCain. HE is the one who stated the jet was sold on eBay. And HE is the one who stated Alaska made a profit from it. Both are false - entirely. Why. Why, why, why would he do this when it is so incredibly simple to check data prior to speaking (and he's got staffers to do it - heck he's got staffers where it is their entire job to check the data of his speeches.) I've got the answer, and unfortunately we haven't seen the last of it. You can easily go out and make statements like this - millions of people hear it and are excited. Oh, but when you oh so sincerely apologize for it a week later, that just doesn't receive as much P.R. and people are still quoting the original wrong data anyway. Milk it for mileage. Yep. Just cuz they do not have anything else. OR - here's the other possibility. McCain is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. We've elected at least 1 prior President with it. It wouldn't be new here. What a sad commentary on the state of our country that one is.

And here's my latest swipe at Palin. TODAY she was trying to make a point that when she was Governor of Alaska she put their checkbook online for better fiscal transparentcy. When SHE is VP, she will do the same with Washington's checkbook.

Sorry to burst your bubble Ms. Palin, BUT, Barack Obama already did this. Yes, it's a DONE DEAL. You can see the checkbook here. In 2006 & 2007 Obama along with Republican Senator Tom Coburn co-sponsored the "Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act."
Oh yes, and please let me add that John McCain was the original co-sponsor to this bill in 2006 before he decided he didn't want to co-sponsor it after all.

Hmmmmm.

So Palin is campaigning to do something that already exists and that her Sr. running mate backed out of co-sponsoring on 2nd thought. What the heck is the deal with THIS???

Now if you know the answer to THIS one, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know because I, for the life of me, really can't figure it out.
